I recently had a conversation down at the pub with a friend of mine that went something like this:
 
Friend: So what are you doing work-wise these days?
Me: I sell online marketing solutions.
Friend: What websites and stuff?
 
*short pause as I decide whether to explain what it is I actually do. I decide I have drunk too many beers to attempt it*
 
Me: Yeah websites and stuff.
Friend: What company?
Me: Quirk eMarketing.
Friend: Quirky marketing?
Me: No. Quirk ....eMarketing.
Friend: eMarketing, ah ok.
Me: So what about you?
Friend: I sell stuff too... but not eStuff.
 
A pretty awful conversation but one gem did come out of it. The word “eStuff”, to describe anything online that you can't be bothered to actually explain.
