WebPR+ Conference: Live Update 4

After a short tea break Rob briefly chatted about the way in which we do our reputation monitoring and scoring at Quirk – a very interesting piece of software was previewed. Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground… big things are coming.

Rob went on to discuss the importance of giving companies a voice… he also chatted about the ways in which companies are engaging and building relationships with their customers.
He used several examples including Nando’s, jetBlue, Logitech and BMW SA to reinforce the importance of building relationships and using social media weapons to boost your brand as well as heighten brand love and loyalty.

By now we know how important online reputations are but what happens when an unexpected brand crisis hits? After outlining how to “fix a bad Google CV” Rob went on to discuss what to do in order to react to and recover from an online attack. To end off Crisis Planning Strategies and the age old adage “Prevention is Better than Cure” were discussed.

Right, it’s been an exciting day with lots of interesting information being conveyed. The posting from Friday’s conference will be a little more solid – Chilibean will also be podcasdting so you can hear it straight from the horses' mouths. There are still a few tickets left so book now.

So... did you attend the WebPR conference today? What did you think?

I was there, I enjoyed the 2nd session the most. The one on ORM. Was rather interesting, and I have to admit. Rob was probably more entertaining than a mirror. I will be posting on it, perhaps a bit later tonight. See you guys at 27.
