LOL....thats brilliant! It seems to me that Facebook is the first social network to really impact South Africa. I know some of the younger guys are on Myspace, but I have never had any activity there or on Bebo (which was huge in Ireland). Now suddenly in the last few weeks everyone is signing up to Facebook?

Hahahah, nice one. For some reason Facebook has only started growing exponentially in South Africa over the past month or two. Easier to share photos than flickr, easier to blog than blogger, and more fun for networking than linkedin. I get to keep in touch with everyone easily, and I've bumped into people I haven't seen since primary school.

It would prove to me that the internet has come a long long way when I receive an invite to Facebook from my mother.

I will also know that she has struck a midlife crisis if that invite was ventured from MySpace.

Exciting times. Rob, I guess we have opened the avenue for community connectivity. You'll have to deal with it mate.

Be glad it wans't an invite from the in-laws....yet!
