… ok, to be fair there were plenty and they were the nice cold “beery” kind.
Sigh – life couldn’t be better!
With about 65 members of our “Friends of Quirk” Facebook group attending the event we were sure to have some fun – and boy, were we right! The event aimed to get us all together, have some time to share war stories (in particular Janine and Chris) from the past weeks/months and collectively wish our stresses goodbye.
By about 10pm the braai was winding down. Those who were left had the laborious task to tidying up the hundreds of empty bottles and returning the roof to the state we found it. All in all a good start to a Friday night and weekend!
Special thanks to:
- Cobra Beer – for supplying the beer!
- All the Friends of Quirk members who attended – was great to meet all of you
- Janine – for cutting us a slice of her much loved budget
- Darryn – organising a sound system
- Andrew – for organising music and carting the braais
- Santi – for assisting with the shopping
- All those who helped with the cleaning up
For all of those who missed out (yes, that’s you Quirk UK and Jozi! Snigger Snigger…) keep an eye on the Friends of Quirk group on Facebook and be sure to come to the next one!

Ray, Aitken, we're going to have to show these Capetonians that we still know how to have a good party.
Cobra, would you like to share some love here in London? I do so love that Cobra crispness...
