It was quite something to see the roof transformed into an outdoor stage and a quite sizzling (if we do say so ourselves) party location. The hard work and preparation really paid off, so well done everyone who carried couches and mixed drinks! SAB and Stormhoek’s sponsorship kept us cool while we waited for the sun to set – and once it did the Cape Town skyline offered an amazing background for Julia's live performance. This was followed by pizza from Butlers (thanks to Rob’s sponsorship).
The entertainment didn’t stop there, in true Quirk style - Marcel came through to provide a little Magic, some D-jing from DJ Chonx and Smallz, people running around in tiaras and even one or two lightsabre battles (that’s right, lightsabres, popular items in the office even as I write this... Thanks Sabine and Jan for the appropriate 9th birthday gift :) ).
It was a great success by all accounts, and if you missed it this year, be sure to start preparing for next year – Quirk will be turning 10, an event not to be missed.
