McDonalds and Line Rider

This viral ad launched in the US about a month ago. McDonalds has created a viral advert using a cool little Internet phenomenon, a game called Line Rider that started in 1996. Quoted from the website:

“In Line Rider the player draws their own landscape with a simple pencil tool creating as many ramps, hills, and jumps as they can imagine”.

It must be said that LineRider doesn’t inherently have that much to do with McDonalds, but I suppose in their endless attempt to reach out to the all powerful “youth”, a cool looking ad born of an online game can only help. The fact that they’re sitting on 267,918 views is testament to that.
