The London Office has been HECTIC! We have new peeps joining us this week and are generally very busy little lemmings. But fear not! I've still found time to waste - at least 15 minutes a day searching the net for some diversions to keep our loyal fans distracted.
This week's a real mixed bag. Enjoy!
Deon Hughes featured something which made me think about how often we overlook the most basic things:
"Read this quote .... with your brand and customers in mind: The two biggest questions to ask ourselves in life, at any age, are: 'Are most of the people I know glad that I am here' and 'Am I glad that I am here, myself?'"
So now that the basics are out the way....
The Unlit Tour - I'm into Web stories. This could be a very clever and simple compilation of maps, social media and narrative. Orange does great stuff online in the UK.
Navigate by drawing - This is definitely not a search engine's friend, but it's interesting to see where this might lead as flash becomes more search friendly.
Crowd noises visualised - Making user experience and participation tangible is one of my real interests, so this made me a happy camper.
YouVsBOLT - Race the fastest man alive in the typical tongue-in-cheek Puma Fashion.
Body Parts and Beats - This is a freaky project. It's a visualisation representing the body parts most referenced by genres of music. Stay clear of Hip Hop.
Google News visualisation - This comes courtesy of our ever inquisitive Kat via last week's comments – so comment and I'll check it out folks!
Parting advice for the week :)
Have a great week of stumbling and let me know what you find!
Matt.
