My first visit to AdTech London can be summed up in one simple word - money. AdTech is a fast talking, hip shooting jamboree of the UK’s finest online marketing businesses. The only thing I found more amazing than the level of competition at the exhibition was just how in demand the vast majority of these competitors are.

Google was out in force this year and definitely making its presence felt. Their passive aggressive sales and branding strategy made me totally unaware that I was actually being ‘sold’ to – to the extent that I ended up being ever so grateful for even being allowed to witness all the Google-Goodness. It was almost like being in the presence of the Oracle. Google-Genius I tell you.

I attended the Google AdWords ‘Master Class’ which was a slick presentation given by two young and rather attractive females who were receiving oodles (Googles) of geeky attention. They ran through pretty much everything one would need to know about Google AdWords, from how to set up an account and your keyword selections to using Google Analytics to learn which keywords are the most profitable. I could go on for a while more into the details of the presentation, but I think that would be like a trailer that gives away the end of the movie. I would highly recommend that you rather take your 10 minute coffee break right now and check this out.
