Google announced yesterday that they are widening their advertising network to include in-game advertising with the launch of Adsense for Games™. While in-game advertising is nothing new, Google offering it as part of their AdSense program will certainly make it more accessible to smaller businesses. The plan is to offer CPM and CPC options to integrate “video advertisements into web-based games, complemented by text and image ads”.
According to a comScore study from July 2007 over 200 million people (25% of Internet users) play online games, and this number is expected to grow by 17% each year. Not a bad place to advertise then.

Awesome video.. and soundtrack
Word on the street is Google is also moving into e-commerce to diversify revenue streams http://webcommunityforum.com/2008/10/youtube-looks-for-new-ways-to-drive-revenue/
I wonder how active is SA's online gaming community? Not to sure myself??
