Sponsored by PushPlay DVD rentals, the Speak UP! survey is described as a “census of the SA blogosphere” and is aimed at gaining better insight into what fuels South African bloggers.

The survey has a range of prizes to entice participation which include subscriptions to the online PushPlay DVD rental service, as well as blog publicity on the 24.com network.

Participation is anonymous, and questions include topics such as blogging habits, resources and influences of SA bloggers - in particular, it seems they’d like to understand the conversation between bloggers as much as the blogs themselves.

The poll is open to all South African bloggers until November 7, 2008. The survey takes slightly longer than ten minutes, but shouldn’t take longer than a coffee break.
