Since the launch of IdeaBounty last week, Matt has been running around like a mad person. He's been doing some great interviews and it's really worth checking out the IdeaBounty blog for the posts he's put together.
In the spirit of all things crowdsourcing I've thus focused this week's Fact Box on three crowdsourcing platforms - Wikipedia, iStock and Threadless. All three of these sites have engaged and valuable communities built up around them - the statistics available are clear evidence of this.
(As a side note, there are some excellent tools for learning about Wikipedia's uses. I learned today, for example, that amongst the most search for articles in October we find "Obama", followed shortly by "The Beatles", "Halloween" and - of course - "Human Penis Size").

- 1,500: Typical size of a batch of each new design.
- 2000: Dollars paid to winning designers.
- Millions: Dollars earned by selling T-shirts not by hiring star designers but by asking anybody to design them.
