Quirk was named a winner at the highly prestigious E-consultancy Innovation Awards in London last night. We won in the category for Innovation in SEO & Natural Search.
We're very proud of this award and see it as an affirmation of both our holistic approach to SEM and the experience we've gained over the last 10 years. We won the award for our use of Google Earth as part of an SEO link building strategy for South African Tourism. The concept - which we were confident was innovative, interesting and would result in high user engagement – provided everything required for delivering high value organic links.
Google Earth has 350 million users across the world which, combined with its unique nature, made us confident that the SAT Google Earth layer would deliver a level of organic search engine success unparalleled by any other media solution.
It seemed that everyone who is anyone in the eMarketing scene in London was present at the event last night. Over 700 industry specialists were eager to attend to get the results, (although sadly not everyone could be accommodated). The drinks were flowing well into the night and the venue in the city was packed to bursting point - but rest assured, we all had a great time ;-).
Congratulations to all those QuirkStars from the teams in Cape Town, Jo'burg and London who pulled together so brilliantly to make this happen. Quirk is definitely rocking!
