The Ozzman Cometh! To pick up his next product endorsement cheque. Stranger to neither the stage, TV land, the silver screen or the ninth circle of Hell, Ozzy Osbourne is pretty much a walking currency. The living legend has massive influence with young and old, and is a doddering salesman able to outsell any slick-back, quick-talking salesman a third his age.
Technically, that sub-heading should be “the Ozz of Blizzard” after this latest in TV ads gone viral. The ‘Prince of Darkness’ adds his charm to Blizzard’s World of Warcraft campaign by trash talking the Lich King; the villain most high in the WoW realm.
This World of Warcraft viral ad has accrued over one and a half million views since November 20, and Ozzy’s performance is only one amongst many other international celebrities to be featured in the WoW ad series.
Personally, I’d like to see the success of a Ronnie James Dio power-metal character in response…
Speak of the Devil
In this ad, Ozzy’s having some difficulty being understood while running errands, so has to use his Samsung Propel with full QWERTY keyboard to ‘make himself heard’
Take a look at this hilarious viral video of the “Prince of #%$@ing Darkness” about town:
Ozzy’s technological aptitude depicted in this successful viral is way ahead of most parents. If your parents are anything like mine, it took them ages to figure out all those buttons, and to this day, I get text messages featuring the increasingly inconsistent shorthand.

In the technological age we live in, it's inevitable that they would find a subsitute for illegible handwriting - in a mumbling Ozzy. From an advertising perspective - well done Samsung. From a human perspective - shame on you Samsung for condoning such incoherent speech, thus making it a feild of aspiration for Ozzy fans.
