In another exciting episode of QuirkStars of the month, the prize goes to Quirk legend: Grant McLachlan. Grant is so good, in fact, that he is our first double winner of this award. Many have even voiced the opinion that if there was a prize for QuirkStar of the year, it would go to Grant. He was our champion of 2008 - although I think Mary is snapping at his capable heels.

So let me tell you a little about the guy they call Grant. He is the leader of our design team and apart from a 6 month stint when he went wandering in Oman, he has been at Quirk for about 4.5 years. Grant is Mr. Solid and that’s not just because he’s built like a prop and acts like a human net behind the cricket stumps. Grant is the guy you can always rely on to get the job done (that and he’s also an extremely reliable opening batsman). To use another one of my worn out cricket analogies, he is the Gary Kirsten of Quirk. No matter the odds, he’ll put the runs on the board and that’s critical for the success of any team.

Grant, your dedication and passion have won my utmost respect. It is my sincere goal to ensure that you want to stay at Quirk forever (yes competitors, you heard me, you’ll be in for a fight if you try and nab this chap from us).

Grant isn’t the only stand out performer in the QuirkStation. Our runners up this time were: Janine, Matt, Carlos and Sarah. Well done to all of you. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: without you and the rest of our cracking team, Quirk wouldn’t be as successful as it is today. You all have my deepest thanks for helping me build an agency that not only delivers results, but is also a kick ass place to work.
