Our latest QuirkStar of the Month award recognises a lady for whom this accolade is long overdue.

Mary heads up our Johannesburg QuirkStation and I’m confident the rest of the team would agree with me when I say that she has transformed the place. When Mary joined us about 18 months ago, Quirk JHB was ticking along nicely, but had yet to achieve great things. Today it is flying along and great things are happening almost daily. With no disrespect to the people who came before her, I put this incredible growth largely down to the efforts of Mary.

With her African roots and almost 12 years in the London digital scene, Mary is a powerhouse of experience. In my mind she is probably the best digital client service person working in South Africa today. And that’s not just my opinion, our clients share it too. Never before has any person at Quirk been the cause of so many emails and phone calls to me from our clients who purely want to express their gratitude and amazement at this incredibly talented woman. This all may sound too good to be true, but I tell you it’s not and one meeting with Mary will convert you.
 
Muz, congratulations to you for being a tower of strength, energy, professionalism and integrity - attributes which I think all of us at Quirk can draw from. You have really helped us take Quirk closer to our goals, and I look forward to working with you for many years to come as we achieve them.
 
As always, our magnificent team is not just a team of one. We also gave a special mention this month to Sue, Peter, Sarah B, Grant M and Louw, who were our runners up. Congrats in particular to Louw who has only been with us a very short time, but whose programming skills and enthusiasm have already made a massive impact.
