Cadbury Eyebrows Still Viral

Cadbury have got the delicious chocolate thing right, but another thing they’ve succeeded in is creating viral ads that spread organically. Although the content is often bizarre (and I for one don’t quite get it) and perhaps a bit creepy, they have got the attention of the public and with over 3,286,952 views, they’ve got to be doing something right, right?

Their last viral advert, the “Eyebrow Dance” was so successful, that even long after its release, many people have done their own spoofs of it. There have been young and old, some good and some bad, all doing their own advert renditions and creating hype around the concept. Even celebrities have found the eyebrow spoof hard to resist. Lily Allen did her bit and Ant, the Britain’s got talent host, has now done his own spin-off version with his lady friend. How’s that for relationship bonding?

Who would have thought that a traditional chocolate brand would turn to an eyebrow dance to advertise? Their marketing director quotes “"Eyebrows is all about losing yourself and embracing that moment of joy – except in this case there's a healthy dose of mischief mixed in too." And it illustrates an interesting point; along with chocolate, human beings get a kick out of freestyle eyebrow dancing.

In fact, I’m off to go practice my smooth eyebrow moves in the mirror right now.

Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did JT.. There seem to be many people who haven't seen the eyebrow dance, but that is the beauty of viral- we can spread the love!
