Regular readers will know that once a month all the staff at Quirk (there are now 60 of us, would you believe), vote for their QuirkStar of the Month. This month sees a relative n00b take the honours: Louw Swart.

Louw is one of our talented Java programmers and has only been at Quirk since November last year. Despite this he has already made his mark in the Java team and across Quirk as a whole. Louw’s secret to success is his can-do attitude and the fact that he gets things done with a smile on his face - something that’s always appreciated.

It’s worth mentioning a little of Louw's history here. For starters, he has spent most of his working life as a flight attendant! While this provided him with an opportunity to travel the world, eventually he wanted something different and studied Information Systems Engineering. It didn't take him long to find his place in eMarketing at Quirk. The rest, as they say, is history, but we’re very pleased he decided to join the geek world. Louw also has a small penchant for dress up which saw him winning the Quirkiest Outfit award at our recent 10 year birthday bash.

Louw, well done for making it to the top so quickly, it’s a real pleasure having you on the Quirk Team. Louw was our winner, but let us not forget the runners up in this closely fought race. This month our runners up were Soph, Emma, Kathryn Sharfman and Blaize. Well done guys!
