Nothing sells a product like throwing in a public figure. How about getting a controversial public figure? Yup, that ought to do it. Finish it off with an ironic joke and voila: viral heaven. It works for Nando’s and it seems to be working for WONDERFUL Pistachios too.
WONDERFUL Pistachios is launching a competition where consumers upload videos showing how they get crackin’. To market the competition Levi Johnston (that’s the guy who got Sarah Palin’s daughter pregnant) gets crackin’ on a YouTube video – with protection this time, nogal. The Alaska t-shirt is a nice touch too.
Other “celebrities” showing how they get crackin’ include Wee Man, the Denny Quintuplets and Former Miss South Carolina Teen USA.
