It’s a proud day for us at Quirk as we launch the Quirk eMarketing Accreditation; an easy to take, but difficult to pass exam which offers you the opportunity to become a Quirk Certified eMarketer. In a world where everyone claims to be an eMarketing or Social Media rockstar, this is your chance to prove that you really do know your stuff!

Why an exam? After publishing the second edition of our textbook last year we heard your feedback. From that, we deduced that you didn’t only need the information, but that you also needed a way to test your knowledge and skills. With over 100 000 copies of the book in use (both digital and dead tree) there seemed no better time to present you with that very chance.

This exam offers employers the opportunity to assess their teams’ competency and screen potential job candidates while giving keen individuals the chance to contend and succeed in a highly competitive employment market.

Almost 100 clever people have already passed the exam and in fact, we already have our first Quirk Certified Agency! Clickmaven, run by the intrepid Ferdie Bester, is a boutique paid search agency based out of Johannesburg. All of their staff are Quirk certified and have also passed our rigorous approval process. The exam is based on our textbook, eMarketing: the essential guide to online marketing and costs $200 to write. It consists of 300 multiple choice questions and you have 2 hours to complete it and achieve the 75% pass mark. Yes, it’s tough, but it wouldn’t mean anything if it were easy!
