The folk doing their grocery shopping in Queens were in for a pleasantly-bizarre surprise when they were caught in the middle of an in-store musical. Typical of the Improv Everywhere nature, 6 undercover actors burst into song accompanied with some silly choreography while bystanders watched in fascination as the scene unfolded. After their performance of singing passionately about interfruit-loving, they casually resumed their role as shoppers.

What is confusing though, is the ending – usually in a viral we end up knowing what brand is being punted or what cause is being supported. But this is different. It’s created by Improv Everywhere, but Trident Gum made it possible. The message is a bit unclear – who is gaining from this viral? It seems like a missed opportunity when 1,009,886 people have watched this video on YouTube.
