Dell and MTV Bring US Amplichoir

Amplichoir is a campaign launched by Dell and MTV which looks likely to be a huge success – “the biggest choir in the world”. Essentially it is a competition, where people have to record themselves on video singing Lollipop by The Chordettes (“lollipop, lollipop, ooh la la lollipop”) and upload these videos onto the Dell website so that others can vote. The winner of the competition will win VIP tickets to the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin. These videos will be combined into a video mosaic, just like the one below:

I’m convinced that one of the key factors behind the success of this campaign is that darn tune –you wont be able to get it out of your head!
