Ed's Note: Emma, being our Creative Director, spends a lot of time developing ideas and concepts into fully fledged digital assets. We thus thought it a good idea to get some bitesized tips out of her on her approach to digital ideas. This is what she shared:
Inspiration for digital ideas can come from anywhere. Image Credit: Nina
1. Share all your ideas and don't be precious about it. A small idea shared is a killer campaign idea well developed.
2. Make everyone think your idea is their idea which will always ensure your idea gets signed off.
3. Don't ever be scared to ask what a technical term means in front of your clients, suppliers and employees. It doesn't make you look stupid, it makes you look interested and gives them the opportunity to look intelligent. Just don't ask twice.
4. Don't worry about not knowing everything about all digital channels, try picking one of them and keeping abreast of the innovations in that field. Such as Facebook, or Mxit.
5. Expand your visual stimulus outside of digital. Keep your eyes open for interesting brand ideas when you are shopping, driving or having a coffee. Don't just subscribe to emails/RSS on solely digital work, try trendhunter.com.

Some great thoughts Emma.
I've just read an article on creativity which says that children, who get to see and experience things for the first time, show higher levels of creativity than someone who is older and "wiser".

Easier said than done of course when applied to marketing, as it can be difficult to look at something from a completely fresh perspective!
