Although Flash Mobs have been (over)done to death, this latest approach was fresh and pleasantly engaging. It's no wonder that the 100 dancers that broke into a beach boogie on Sydney’s Bondi Beach were met with a warm (excuse that unintentional pun) reception. The dance was orchestrated by DJ Dan Murphy and featured the famed and oh-so-dahling drag queen, Joyce Maynge to advertise for Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. What was once a controversial topic has been advertised with taste and flair.
The viral already boasts over 179,711 views on YouTube so even though the event they are advertising is only in March next year, this little viral is sure to give them top-of-mind awareness till then! For those who aren’t just watching for the enjoyment of it (unfortunately I won’t be attending the Mardi Gras), it ends off with all the details of the events as well as a link to ticket sales.
