The Healthcare Reform has been a controversial subject on America’s agenda for a while now. To raise awareness Obama supporters were asked to contribute their creativity and submit a video highlighting the issue. Nearly 1 000 videos were submitted. Organizing for America supporters and a panel of experts picked the winner out of 20 finalists. The video entitled “I Deserve Healthcare” by Eric Hurt won.
“I Deserve Healthcare” is soppy and melodramatic and unsurprisingly a spoof video was posted on the very same day. But let’s face it – it tugs at your emotions. Obama is no stranger to using social media platforms in campaigns and experiencing great success with them. I believe this will prove to be no exception, with nearly 1 000 videos submitted I reckon it already has.
