- RIM BlackBerry – 20.8%
- iPhone – 15.1%
- Windows Mobile – 8.8%

A comparison between the top five EU countries and the USA is as follows:
- 32% - Italy has the highest Smartphone penetration rate out of the five biggest EU countries.
- 28.3% - Spain
- 22.9% - UK
- 16.5% - Germany
- 15.2% - France
- 18.2% - USA, with 42.7million Smartphones from 234 million subscribers.

The results for the top five EU countries with regards to the type of Smartphone they choose:
- 60.9% - Symbian
- 8.3% - RIM BlackBerry
- 14.5% - Apple iPhone
- 4.1% - Microsoft Windows
- 2% - Android
The USA users differ from the Europeans in their choice of Smartphones:
- 43% - RIM BlackBerry
- 25.1% - Apple iPhone
- 15.7% - Microsoft
- 7.1% - Android
- 5.7% - Palm
- Symbian is of a very low percentage, and did not feature in the results.
South Africa has not been left out of this revolution.
