Today I thought we could have a look at this interesting little viral I saw this week, which completely parodies the Old Spice adverts and video clips that have been dominating everyone’s inboxes these last few days.

This clip promotes studying in libraries in America and I think the creators have pretty much nailed this, as evidenced by the 1,518,254 views it has had in seven days. (That’s  roughly 1,518,198 views more than what my proposed Shaun Oakes pilot cartoon has.)

It’s success is heavily due to the popularity of the Old Spice commercials, but it still takes a quite a bit of creativity and chutzpah to pull this off. (Just like the guy’s top in the first few seconds.)

Also, did you notice anything weird at 0.17 seconds? Look again. The plant in the background. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I’m pretty confident that you did too.
