The Chase Film

by Emma Drummond

2011/02/05

Intel, the “Sponsors of tomorrow”, have just produced an action movie, with a difference. Called The Chase, this video showcases the awesome performance capabilities of their new processor, the…. wait for it…. 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor

The action-packed scenes take place on the computer desktop, demonstrating the variety of program windows (I won’t give too much away, but I will say these include iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite.) This brilliance was conjured up by San Francisco agency Venables Bell & Partners and directed by Smith & Foulkes. Since 2011 has been termed the “year of video”, it sure goes to show that people respond well to being taught/educated/updated through this medium (and it doesn’t hurt to have a sexy protagonist to boot). How did I come to that conclusion? Why the 1,851,351 views on YouTube, of course.

Action fans, computer geeks and GottaQuirk readers, enjoy the ride!
