Last week the call of "Benton!" was heard repeatedly in offices and studies around the world. Benton is a Golden Labrador from London. Footage of him, filmed in Richmond Park, chasing a herd of Red Deer, was recently circulated around the Internet with incredible viewing results.

As Benton chases the deer towards a busy road, we see – and hear –  his panicked owner running after him yelling, "Benton! Benton! Oh, Jesus Christ!”

The video achieved 800 000 hits in the first week (the original has since been removed due to "copyright" infringement). This is an amazing number on its own; however the real Benton attraction comes from the spin-offs.

There most popular Benton spoof at the moment is ‘Jurassic Pa-BENTON!!’ There are hundreds of other spoofs across YouTube including two Quirk generated ones: ‘Benton – Sanlam’ and ‘Benton – Lord of the Rings’ .

Latest news: Benton’s owner is reportedly in trouble for removing his lead in Richmond Park, where authorities have requested dog owners not to.
