At Quirk we’ve got a knack for sharing. From bad jokes to toast, we share everything. We also pride ourselves on having pretty good taste, especially when it comes to music. Put these two together, and you’ve got a recipe for audio bliss in the form of our music mailing list.
Because piracy happens to be one of those iffy topics, we only share ideas (and a heck of a lot of YouTube links).
But why should we only share amongst ourselves, and not with you? So we’ve put together a roundup of some of the best links.
Our taste is as eclectic as our QuirkStars, and you’ll find everything from shoegaze to indie folk; some tracks are upbeat, others introspective. Some tunes might be fresh, others ancient.
The theme tying us QuirkStars together is our love for music. Oh, and sharing.
Karen O, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross - Immigrant Song
Shared by: Grant Silverstone
Listen to the first track from Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor and prolific British producer, Atticus Ross’ second collaboration, ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (OST)’.
This awesome cover of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Immigrant Song’ features Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer, Karen O. Expect Industrial-esque beats, heavily layered vocals and tight production. Nice.

This track by Australian Electronica musician, Pogo, is composed entirely of samples from Disney’s, ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
It’s an easy track to fall in love with, full of heavy bass rhythm and hypnotic vocals. You can find a free download of the EP on Pogo’s Last.FM page.
