Looking to play a game of golf this weekend; excited about that challenging hike or that much-needed family fishing trip? No matter where you’re headed, you can lock in the exact location and watch WeatherSA’s iOS application give you the most accurate weather update on your Apple device.

WeatherSA officially launched the application yesterday, releasing it to the Apple Appstore for use on iPhone and iPad platforms. This application has been designed to integrate easily into people’s lives as a multifunctional tool.

What Can Users Expect from the WeatherSA App?

Launch MC and tech-guru, Aki Anastasiou, says the “detail on this app will blow you away. It gives you an hour by hour breakdown of what the weather is doing in your area and a 30 minute heads up, if a storm is coming.” The push notifications and custom features make it more than just another weather app, but rather an effective planning tool for everyday use.

The app also has the ability for users to share alerts with their contacts via email, twitter and Facebook.

Its an exciting time in the SA app industry and WeatherSA’s director, Chris Barker hopes to make this “not only the go-to programme for all weather, sporting and lifestyle enthusiasts, but all online South Africans.”

Have you used the new weather application yet? Let us know what your experiences have been so far.
