Dan Deacon - True Thrush
Shared by Scott Gray
American composer and electronic musician Dan Deacon provides us with his latest surreal effort, a music video for True Thrush (weird title if there ever was one) in which a duo had one hour to create an installation using the props provided, then, the next team would take a look before having to recreate the scene from memory. This was then repeated. Again and again. Sound weird? But hey, the song is just as great.
Liars - Brats
Shared by Ben Brouckaert
Three piece experimental rock band Liars have just released their second single off WIXIW (somehow pronounced You Wish), along with a glitchy, slightly unhinged music video featuring the classic battle to the death between a hunter and a… rabbit. Enjoy!
Grizzly Bear - Ready, Able
Shared by Ben Brouckaert
We love Brooklyn indie folk legends Grizzly Bear. Their music is consistently awesome, and their music videos are pretty fab too. Listen to slow paced track, Ready, Able off their 2009 gem Veckatimest.
We hope you enjoyed this week’s short and sweet Quirk Weekend Music Mix. Because we’re all about sharing, we’d like to know what you are listening to. So go ahead, make our day.
