Asaf Avidan - One day / Reckoning Song (Wankelmut Remix)
Shared by Nash Sprenger
Asaf Avidan and the Mojos gave us this single back in 2008. Now in 2012, and in collaboration with DJ Wankelmut, the band's eponymous leader, Asaf, introduces a slightly tweaked version of the international hit. The lyrics still ring with a sort of sad nostalgia, but the song is refreshingly different and unlike anything on radio at the moment. Have a listen:
Mumford & Sons – I Will Wait
Shared by Louise Peacock
The ever-popular English folk quartet is back with a brand new gazillion-selling southern-rock inspired album, ambiguously titled, Babel. Listen to the album’s lead single, I Will Wait, below:
An Adidas Originals Live Performances Exclusive – The Drums
Shared by Kirby Kruger
Part three of an on-going live performance series brought to us by Adidas Originals, sees New York indie trio, The Drums, soon visiting our land. Fairly new but already with two very successful albums under their collective belt, and a slew of worldwide sold-out tours, these fellas are seemingly bred from the ilk of early indie fusion. You don't want to miss this show! Below is their single, Money. Give it a whirl:
We hope you enjoyed this week’s short and sweet Quirk Weekend Music Mix. And as always, we’re all about sharing, so we’d like to know what you are listening to. Go ahead, make our day.
