Viral Video: Amazing Mind Reader Reveals His 'Gift'

There is not much that surprises me these days - especially in terms of awareness campaigns. I have seen many a PETA advert using shock tactics (such as women streaking) and too many MTV awareness ads that don’t even make me bat an eyelid anymore. So, when I came across this video, I had to share it.

It's a viral video creating awareness around internet fraud, specifically focussed on the risks of hackers accessing users’ financial details. We have all heard of the risks of giving out our financial information online and I generally try to avoid doing online transactions for this very reason. so a video of a ‘clairvoyant’ revealing an individual's personal details about their lives, and more importantly, their financial information, makes me even more wary. Take a look - it's informative and chuckle-worthy, a winning combo:

Although one suspects that there is something fishy going on in the ad (such as hackers acquiring people’s details) - the “reveal” of those hackers is the dramatic climax that really makes the video. The beauty of this ad is that it transcends all cultural barriers. Anyone, anywhere, who enters their financial details onto various digital platforms is at risk of that information being hacked, should they not take the necessary precautions. These precautions include always typing in the URL of a banking site (never click on a link that is sent to you via e-mail), ensuring your anti-virus is updated on your PC, checking your bank statements regularly and always logging off the site you have entered your banking details into.

Although it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise what is going on half way through the video, I still think that the ad is entertaining and worth a watch. And I am not the only one - this video has gotten 5, 184, 470 views, with 36, 197 Likes and 654 Dislikes.
