In a word… boring.
As a South African looking forward to his first Internet World, I was extremely disappointed.
There were very few exhibitors (I was expecting hall after hall of packed stands and the single hall wasn’t even half full), and those that were there generally fitted into the category of either solutions provider or e-solutions provider. Thankfully all the company’s on show were all “world leaders” or at least “UK leaders”. I know this because it said so on their stands.
Get a life!
The one aspect I was really looking forward to was the day’s schedule of lectures about various topics under the “New Media and Marketing” banner. I was disappointed here again as most of these were merely thinly disguised sales pitches for the brand behind the presentation.
What a load of crap. When is someone going to do something different, something engaging instead of wallowing in a pit of self importance?
