Eish!

In my experience, the vast majority of websites convert less than 1% of their visitors, but that’s because conversion optimisation is generally the last thing on the mind of the website owner - unfortunately.

As Bryan said “Tell me why your goal isn’t a 10% conversion rate?”

Rob, been to a couple of the sites and of course these I've visited are retailers.

Obviously here in sunny SA, people are very reluctant in purchasing online.

Don't you find in your experience that the drop off points are often at the payment page?

Meaning, people scan the products, showing interest and then hope for an EFT option at payment page. Or just prefer to note the product and still pay visit to the shop.

In terms of other conversion rates, I believe everyone should aim for 10%. Sort of the unofficial standard isn't it?

If you are going to aim for 10%, rather go home.

Create a remarkable website and increase conversion as much as possible.
