On a quest to unearth eMarketing talent

For a while now, a bunch of us in the South African eMarketing industry have been reviewing the small resource pool of real online marketing smarts in the prospective employee arena.
Quirk has decided to take the bull by the horns and address this issue with an internship program in 2007 that will provide two lucky graduates with the eMarketing experience guaranteed to kick start their careers. The industry's problems should be limited to Internet connectivity, and not the lack of hands on eMarketing experience. Two 6 month contracts will be awarded, with the aim of developing future Quirkstars. The interns will be exposed to eMarketing practices including:- Website Design and Development
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Pay Per Click
- Online Advertising
- Affiliate Marketing
- Viral Marketing
- WebPR
- Email Marketing
and will be encouraged to specialise in any of these areas which they feel passionate about.
