Vodafone: Happy to Help.

by Janine Carpenter

I have come to realise that there are two kinds of people in the World - those who love pugs and those who don’t : )

Those that do are often a little obsessed with these adorable little creatures and spend way too much time Googling things like “cute pug videos” and sending the results to all fellow pug loving fans …Yes, I’m one of those {big smile}.

And here’s why

My 3 favourite little people: Poppy, Sade and Emily Carpenter.

Okay, enough about me and my pugs… trust me, I can go on for hours, just ask Carlos : )

It has become common knowledge amongst the QuirkStars, my friends, family and even my clients that I love everything Pug. So it was no surprise when my neighbour Helmka came rushing over (about 2 months ago) to tell me about an adorable advert they had just shot, “that I would just love!” as it featured Pugs. Since then I have done random searches to see what she was on about, but nothing : (

Then, last night I received an sms from my mother-in-law who is touring India. She wanted to share a local advert featuring a Pug licking stamps… could it be? I did one quick Google search “pug licking stamp india advert” and yippee I found it!

And they were both right … this ad is fab!

For me this is viral at its best: word of mouth, an sms all the way from India, a quick Google search, a blog post and trust me I will this send this advert to all my pug loving friends and maybe even some non pug lovers (the horror) to try and win them over :)

From a brand perspective - very sneaky tactic Vodafone… nothing like getting people to warm to your brand by using the “cute factor”. Let’s face it - cute sells!

P.S. If only my Pugs were this happy to help {sigh}
