YouTube and Wii - Taking it One Step Further

by Rainer Schmid

While having a look at the latest happenings on the web, I came across this inspiring interactive experience by YouTube and Wii. Wii have taken YouTube viral marketing one step further with their new Wario Landgame.

When I first arrived on this page, I thought I was in for another YouTube video by Wii. But as things played out, I noticed that this was far from what I was expecting. The page was reacting to the video

Talk about an interactive video experience.

When you get to the end of the video, you can play around and move all the blocks around to make the page even more of a mess. At first glance this looks just like a regular YouTube video page, but after a closer look at the URL, I realised that it is in fact a new page on the YouTube domain.

Update: It seems this video isn't displaying for some, I suggest you go have a look at the original page - that way you get to see all the on page chaos for yourselves!
