Usually, it takes a fair bit of cajoling to get a post from one of the QuirkStars. I wouldn't go so far as to call them reluctant bloggers, but it's fairly unusual to get a post without at least one friendly reminder.
Imagine my surprise then, when I get two posts today about the same topic. They arrive in my inbox practically simultaneously, making it hard to choose one over the other on the basis of first come.
So that's why we've got two posts about the Big Booze Buzz of the Blogosphere; 40% off at Threshers.
I think it's a great story, and evidentally so does a whole lot of other people.
Cheap booze AND a viral marketing success story - warms the heart doesn't it?

An update on this story: "The effect has been fantastic," Roger Whiteside, CEO at The Thresher Group told the drinks business. "Sales are up over 60% in the days the offer has been operative. It is a heavy discount but there is still a positive margin and we have made more money out of it in the end." So I was correct in thinking that the doom and gloom in the press was not warranted.
