Browsing through Marketingweb this morning Rob found something very interesting… an article by Diane Charton, general manager of Acceleration Media.
This articles serves to launch Acceleration’s series of articles titled - Online marketing 101. Now I know your synapses are firing away and you're thinking, hold on this sounds vaguely familiar - but bear with me for a moment or two.
So, to sum it up Acceleration has decided to do this series of articles because they want to educate the market on the power of online marketing – great idea! It was an especially great idea when Quirk decided to do it … oh, about three months ago. In the last stages of 2006 we launched the highly successful series, eMarketing 101 – A complete guide to eMarketing presented in the form of fortnightly chapters.
The Marketingweb article outlines what Acceleration’s series hopes to cover throughout the course of the year – again some rather familiar sentiments. Hats off to Acceleration for embarking on a venture like this, raising the levels of awareness around all things online is extremely important to our industry.
However – as we have already released the first 5 chapters of our series you may want to get a head start.
Well as Rob said… “Being a leader means having followers.. ;)"
Is it the same company that does Mango's emarkerting?

HAHA, touche Rafiq! Look, Acceleration is a good company, a bit web 1.0 but they do some good stuff . And Stefano I agree with you that imitation is a part of business (love those Japs) but you'd think they would at least have come up with an original name for their educational series. Anyway good luck to them, as long as the market is being educated, I'm happy.

Mayhaps you should Invite Accelartion to attend the Web PR Conference? :)

Fair enough, I suppose there is a fine line between imitation and replication. WRT the web1.0 aspect, they are in the process of dealing with this (I hear). See you at the conference. Better keep my entertained :)

Cheeky. If you look at the Japanese, you would see that they thrive on this kind of behaviour. I wouldn't knock it too much, because clearly, it works. Be carefull of drowning yourselves in pride, as Acceleration is very capable of releasing (perhaps) higher quality material.
