A full bodied whine

by Rob Stokes

Nick over at Stormhoek pointed us to Neil Pendock’s new blog which has been set up in conjunction with wine.co.za. Now as a wine enthusiast (much to the chagrin of my gouty toe!) I have always enjoyed Pendock’s writing, as Nick said, “he's frank, witty and, at times, abstract and obtuse.” All the qualities one seeks in a good wine writer.

So I clicked over to the blog ready to pop his feed into my reader… but no… as far as I can tell, there is no feed. It’s beyond me, how out of touch can you be? Any site (let alone a blog!!) that launches without a feed in this day and age is just silly. I think it was Scoble who said that if your site has no feed it’s dead to me. How true. I have over 400 feeds in my reader; if I had to check those sites manually every day I’d never get any work done!

Come on wine.co.za (yes it’s your responsibility, you are the tech guys, not Neil), if you’re going to do something, do it right!
